Hi, how are you all?
Today I was outside extra early and enjoyed the freshness of everywhere, and barefoot walking around the garden and doing my daily grounding exercise whilst listening to the birdsong and feeling the gentle breeze around me. Then I enjoyed my Qi gong session which was about calm and being in the present moment. ( perfect for the start of GCSE time ) Lastly I turned the shower onto cold after my normal shower and managed 30 seconds, it felt very cold but somehow the long your under it the more embracing it becomes. What have you done for you today? Wishing you all a good evening. Trudi

Hi, wishing you a wonderful start to a new week and good luck to all students taken their exams.
I went outside this morning and watched the robin enjoy some meal worms, and the crows have some food love how they bounce and hop around. Did my barefoot walk and felt the rather wet ground beneath but so grateful for the rain feeding the soil grass and plants. How do you ground yourself? and do you do it daily as a matter of course or do it when you feel you need it... I normally do mine after I have walked around the garden barefoot but this morning I felt a little unsettled most likely due to the amazing thunder storms we had last night and the full moon- I always try and go with the flow and listen to what I feel. So instead I did a chakra balancing meditation. I had a bath this morning as love being surrounded and immersed in water - so cold shower will happen later in the day. Wishing you all an amazing Monday Good morning, so yesterday day three I did my barefoot walk and grounding outside enjoying the rain feed grass beneath the souls of my feet.
I loved my Qi gong session and am always surprised at just how time flies, but also how you can really feel the movements within your body and how breath works with the flow. Cold shower was a struggle I will admit today, no idea why maybe I just wasn't feeling it but still did 10 seconds and felt better for it. So I hope you all enjoyed your day. Good morning, wishing you all a wonderful weekend - today ( Saturday 14th May) you will find me at Spotty dog farm shop just outside of Rowde, I will be there 10 am -4 pm offering oracle card readings and hand reflexology tasters.
So this morning I may of got a little distracted with other things, which I found interesting as I had been fully focused the last two days, anyway I went outside and enjoyed barefoot walking around the garden and checking on the plants etc and may of got side tracked to adjust the water fountain and check pond..then I stood and felt the warmth of the sun while I did my morning grounding exercise to connect fully- which felt lovely to just be as one. I then came in and enjoyed my 7 minute Qi gong session- today was focusing on the breath and opening lungs and chest. I really do love this form of exercise. Then it was shower time and oddly I was like meh this will be cold ( obviously) anyway had normal shower then switched to cold and I lasted 50 seconds which I was very surprised by, I left my head until last as that is always very invigorating - as I got out I had a thought ( as one does) and realised when I go wild swimming I never put my head under water and often see swimmers with hats on, which made me think ahh yes the head stays dry and warm- hence me being more aware of the coldness but its great and I am enjoying. Anyway must head off now Wishing you all an amazing day Trudi PS I will be writing a lityle blog soon about Reiki and why and how it is my life. Good morning Friday 13th May, Hope you are all keeping well and you have a great day ahead. It is a cloudy overcast start here this morning but going out and doing barefoot walking and grounding exercise was lovely, to feel the gentle breeze and natural daylight, grass between my toes was all very calming and peaceful even just for a few moments or minutes. Yesterday the sun was shining and I could feel its heat, today the breeze felt welcoming, so whatever the weather you can learn and feel something from it.
Qi gong wow how quick 7 minutes flies past when you are fully in the moment- yet another wonderful session of this gentle but awakening exercise. Cold shower time- so today I decided to shower as normal first then end with the cold blast and that seems to work much better for me, and I managed 30 seconds today, doesn't sound long but building up over time is always a good option- after all its not a race and I am doing this for me. Wishing you all a great day. Trudi So here we are on the 12th May 2022 and I have decided to start a 30 day challenge ( or 3) in the hope that by the end of this time they will become a part of my daily routine.
This is what I am doing: Daily Qi gong challenge the videos are only 7 minutes long Going outside for a barefoot walk around the garden and doing a grounding exercise Coming in for a 10-30 sec cold shower.( have considered doing all of the above outside in swimming cossie- and use hose for shower) Day 1 a great success, enjoyed the Qi gong session and time flew past- always find it amazing when you immerse yourself fully how time can go, I find Qi gong such a wonderful way to do gentle exercise but also it feels to me like a meditation as the body and mind work together in a wonderful way, have you tried it? Secondly I went outside and enjoyed barefoot walking around the garden, I often do this but love it first thing especially when grass is still dewy or even frosty. I finished this time with a grounding exercise to start my day fully connected. Lastly I came in and put the shower onto cold only, initially I did 10 seconds and found it breath taking and knew I needed to be more prepared, good lesson..so I added some warm and had a shower then finished with it back on cold this time I lasted over 20 seconds..and wow did it feel good. I have enjoyed wild swimming in the past and aim to get back to this as time goes by, but for now this is a great alternative that I can do from home. Why am I doing this? I lost my routine back in November and keep telling myself to sort it out and have tried various things and know that come September I need to be fully back to a good and healthy routine, so I am starting this now to carry me forward and do something for me each and every morning that my body will thank me for. I know that if we make small changes and stick to them they then become daily habits, Like going for a 30 minute evening walk..this is something i intent to do 5 days a week as well. Doing what I love as a business is wonderful, but I am a firm believer in doing all I can do enhance what I do by keeping myself aware, connected and healthy. Wishing you all a glorious day. |
